I am a two-time Student Ambassador for the American Physical Society, through which I've had the opportunity to advocate for science policy directly on the Hill in Washington DC.
In addition, I volunteer frequently with Astronomy on Tap and have developed educational physics media for the Contemporary Physics Education Project (CPEP) that was shared on all company pages.
I am a student ambassador for the American Physical Society (APS), where I represent APS at local schools and at various institutions. I was originally appointed in March of 2025 as the first ever community college student to be an ambassador, and was rehired for the 2026-2027 cohort.
Through APS I have acted as a Science Policy Advocate in Washington, DC., where I spoke directly to congressional representatives in support of maintaining science funding and advocating for other beneficial policy changes.
Working alongside Dr. Howard Matis, I developed an educational video for the Contemporary Physics Education Project (CPEP), focusing on the history of the first Gravitational Wave observation based on CPEP's Gravitation Poster.
I have spoken at multiple seminars hosted by Austin Community College's Astronomy Club in a variety of topics covering constellations, my work on protoplanetary disks, and the life cycle of stars.
I also volunteer with various Astronomy on Tap groups, helping with sourcing speakers and setting up events.
